User interface design is the design of software, mobile and web application based both on business goals and user needs. This design gets balance between technical functionality and visual elements to create a system that is not only highly operational but also usable and adaptable to user requirements. The method improves interaction activity and ensures user effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction simultaneously with high technology quality of the product. We provide iterative design which refines through evaluation from the early stages of business and user analysis to the modeling preliminary templates and getting final product. This design suggests involving three groups of participants: customer who provides business and user needs; designer who analyzes requirements and creates interfaces; users who validate needs, test a product and provide feedback. The evaluation steps enable all participants work together until the system reaches an acceptable level of usability.
Expert evaluation is a possibility to expertise your software, mobile or web application based on our 50 years combined experience in usability engineering. Our expert view detects key usability issues in the product quickly, without user testing. It gives a snapshot of the most major usability bugs of the application, basic recommendation what is necessary to be changed and high-level task plan how to redesign a product. It gives you a high-level usability overview of the product in short-term period and supplies a list of findings to be corrected first of all and often providing quick-win changes.

Usability testing of a product or its prototype gives a full view of usability issues by passing each user through a set of predefined tasks. Effectiveness, efficiency and subjective satisfaction are key observable and measurable aspects of each product. Time duration and pauses, difficulties and mistakes, total task completeness and personal satisfaction shows a whole picture of application acceptability and usability. We recommend testing in both cases: before design, when user requirements are not clear and you need to detect all usability issues to redesign a product; and after design, to check whether all usability issues were eliminated or not and what is necessary to do else to improve usability quality of the product. Testing early in the life-cycle is most effective because it reduces development costs.
Eye tracking is the method to measure where the user looks at the screen. By checking eye movements we can detect what is the most effective space for searching information, what zones are less mentioned or even “blind” for ordinary users, where they suspend or experience difficulties. We recommend using eye tracking first of all in testing of rich graphical interfaces where the density of information is too high to get risk of visual lost or where people might ignore some information. Eye tracking measurements are conducted with special equipment and the results are often presented as a “temperature map” with hot problem zones. This method is alike general usability testing and can be perfectly supplement it’s results in details.
Field studies as a contextual user research achieve valuable insights by observing users in their natural working and living environments. Most of them are provided at working places where the user is not only dealing with the product being tested, but is influenced by other external factors that can impact its usability. We put on record everything that goes around: interactions with colleagues or customers, interruptions by phone or email, noise, lighting, additional equipment, placement, etc. All these factors can decrease total user effectiveness and might be not concern the product directly. A part of them can be eliminated by redesigning the interface. This method helps to gather wide range of human aspects to improve total product usability.

Need to create user interface remotely or reduce cost by outsourcing? We've done those. Thanks to our extensive experience of designing and testing we apply deep understanding of usability principles to provide a full cycle of interface modeling. Talking about usability testing we consider both local and remote testing with typical tasks and on required language. Basing on your business goals we help to analyze user needs and prioritize requirements, provide preliminary graphical sketches and iterative design to launch a product as if it was created on your site.
